Marci ElliottGOAL:
Finding the right person to help you overcome emotional hurdles can be challenging.

I consider myself a solution-based therapist, providing therapy with a purpose.

BACKGROUND:
I come from a diverse background of life experience and academia which lends immensely to helping others. I’ve interacted with people from all walks of life and truly take joy in hearing what you have to say.

Depressed? Anxious? Dealing with toxic people? Changing relationships? Family tensions? It can happen to the best of us.

Career confusion? Been fired? I have been there. As a Certified Life Coach I can help you re-examine your skill set and assist you in your battle through the fog of temporary confusion.

I am passionate about helping those who struggle with substance abuse and specialized in the field as a Florida State Certified Instructor. From Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness classes to the Victim Awareness Program for DUI and DUI manslaughter offenders to facilitating Chemical Dependency groups, I understand the disease of addiction.

I have a love of animals and I am the therapist best able to assist you through the grieving process of losing a pet. At last count I have helped transition 23 of my animals to the Rainbow Bridge. It would be my honor to help you through this difficult time.

I have been involved in animal welfare since I was a child. Rescuing, fostering, transporting, trapping and educating. As a former TV news anchor / reporter/ writer / producer, I started the first weekly animal education segment in the Tri -State (Upstate New York, Western Massachusetts, and Vermont) viewing area. In addition to educating viewers, I coordinated with twelve animal shelters resulting in hundreds of featured dogs and cats being adopted. They got a second chance at living their best lives versus being killed – simply for lack of a home. For this work, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society honored me with the 1990 Gold Medallion Award.

I obtained my Master’s in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University and Certification as a Life Coach from Grow Institute in San Diego.

Licensed by the State of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor, I use a Cognitive Behavioral Approach to therapy for adults ages 18 and up. I also facilitate intensive outpatient groups (IOP) and previously handled treatment planning for patients recently discharged from three Orlando psychiatric hospitals.

With nearly 20 years of experience, I am honored to have the privilege to speak with  you about your emotional issues. So, let’s get to work on finding your path to happiness and peace of mind.
