About Marci

marciWith more than thirty years in the field of communications, Marci brings tremendous life experience to the field of counseling.

A former TV news anchorwoman, reporter, producer, and writer for ABC and NBC network affiliates in New York and Ohio, Marci also worked as an on-air health product specialist for the country’s first cable TV all health network, AMERICA’S HEALTH NETWORK, based out of Universal Studios Orlando.

She has been a corporate spokesperson, on-camera / voiceover commercial actress, and small business owner. Having had a passion for animals since childhood, she is also a Certified Canine Massage Therapist.

One of the first TV animal education reporters in Upstate New York, her weekly television segments led to the New York State Veterinary Medical Society recognizing her work and presenting her with the 1990 Gold Medallion Award.

For more than ten years she was a Florida State Certified instructor for the Florida Safety Council. She taught Basic Driver Improvement, Drug Alcohol Traffic Awareness, and the Victim Awareness Program for DUI/DUI Manslaughter offenders.

Marci received her Bachelor’s Degree in General Speech from Kent State University. Graduate work was completed at Troy University, now known as Troy State University, where she received her Master’s in Counseling and Psychology.

Marci also obtained certification as a Life Coach, having received training from Grow Institute, San Diego, California.

Licensed by the State of Florida and a Nationally Certified Counselor, Marci uses a Cognitive Behavioral Approach to therapy- providing individual, couples, and family counseling. She also facilitates intensive outpatient groups (IOP) and chemical dependency groups.
